Job Description:

The HR Business Partner serves as a lead within the HRBP Team, providing targeted support to the HR team for their success in the direct delivery of HR services to drive "best employer" level of service to our valued employees. Key lead on agency wide HR areas of Employee Relations and Performance Management programs. Using business acumen and HR expertise to identify opportunities for service improvements and risk mitigation. The role collaborates with Sr. HR Director, HR Operations Director and Benefits Manager to assess, create and provide oversight of the utilization of agency-wide programs for recruitment and retention, employee relations and performance management.--To be successful in this role, the HR Business Partner and Shared Services must develop and maintain trusting relationships with agency and district office executives and various agency teams, including HR, Payroll/Benefits, Finance and IT; and serve as an effective liaison between internal and external customers and varied functional team members. This role also provides HRBP services to Seatac Offices --Leadership?------------Demonstrate and lead an awareness and sensitivity in the delivery of client services as it relates to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the populations served and our mission?------------Mentor new and existing HRBPs--?------------Create ongoing interactive learning opportunities for the HRBP team to educate and improve service delivery. Identify gaps, analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the Shared Service HR team to develop best in class solutions, programs, services and policies.?------------Embrace Open Door: Proactively communicate with all levels of employees within the district; be available and approachable as an objective resource and/or support for all employees, ensuring consistency regarding implementation of Employee Handbook policies, coaching, discipline, employee concerns, compensation, benefits, and any other issues/concerns that may arise?------------Consult with the SHRD on legal or Agency policy issues to ensure that the District policies and HR practices comply with federal and state law and Agency core values.?------------Collaborate with SHRD and Senior leadership to coach managers in leadership abilities, relationships among teams/individuals, interpersonal communications and performance management.Employee Relations/Performance Management?----------Lead adoption and consistent application of a "no surprises" approach to include clear, measurable and fact-based criteria and comments along with an active approach to obtaining employee feedback.?----------Drive improvement in programs, diagnostics, and related training/coaching engagements in order to help foster a healthy, cohesive, collaborative, fun, fair and equitable workplace.?----------Collaborates with Sr. HR Director and HR Director on oversight of EE-related issues.?----------Provides consult to HRBPs on progressive discipline and performance improvement plans as needed.?----------Serves as an escalation resource to address requests or needs to conduct second tier review of employee issues; define initial assessment, action steps and determine if adjustments are required for resolution ?----------Formulates and recommends HR policies and objectives for the agency with regard to employee relations.Recruitment and Retention and Onboarding?----------Collaborates with Recruiter on best practices for strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long range growth of the company.----Requirements:--?----------Bachelor's' degree in business administration, human resources or related field with 6-8 years' experience in increasingly larger human resources roles.?----------Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.?----------Proven success working in cross functional teams.?----------Experience independently managing full lifecycle recruitment, retention and compensation.?----------Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal?----------Demonstrated experience creating and conducting training sessions (in-person and online)?----------Successful navigation of ambiguity by analyzing, defining and executing solutions?----------Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced, fluid environment.?----------Possess strong quantitative and analytical skills.?----------Demonstrated ability to problem solve.?----------Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.?----------Working knowledge of employment laws; experience working in a multi-state environment preferred.?----------Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and sound judgment.?----------Proficient in MS Applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).?----------Experience working with HRIS systems preferred.?----------Experience working in both Nonprofit and For-Profit organizations, whose primary focus is the delivery of service, preferred.?----------Successful results in leading an awareness and sensitivity in the delivery of client services as it relates to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the populations served and the company's mission and core values.To Apply:--Visit our Careers page on www.lcsnw.org.--Find this listing and click "Apply Now."LUTHERAN COMMUNITY SERVICES NORTHWEST IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER AND COMMITTED TO CULTURAL COMPETENCY.
