Job Description:
Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Lead
the specification, design, implementation, and test of
firmware/software systems. 2. Understand hardware and software
interactions, and collaborate with Hardware Engineers. 3. Lead the
development of designs and test documentation. 4. Mentor Engineers,
Associate Engineers, and Technicians. 5. Serve as a technical
contact for internal customers. 6. Model, teach, and apply SEL
Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing
Principles. 7. Understand. Create. Simplify. 8. Other duties as
assigned. Required Qualifications B.S. in Electrical Engineering,
Computer Science, or equivalent Typically 2 years experience in one
or more of the following areas: Embedded systems firmware
development including: real-time firmware design object oriented
design object oriented languages (C++, C#, Delphi, Java) Embedded
Linux systems development including: C, C++, Python Other scripting
languages Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Ability
to work cooperatively in a team environment Background check
results satisfactory to SEL Negative drug test result(s) Preferred
Qualifications Experience with GNSS and/or Time Protocols (NTP,
IRIG, PTP, etc) Industrial controls Modern communications protocols
Digital communications and signal processing Linux Kernel
