Job Description:

Gonzaga University is currently recruiting for an immediate opening for the position of Residence Director. Additionally, there will be recruiting for a potential position in Summer 2021. Candidates must be enthusiastic, highly motivated, and able to balance administrative duties with a strong student development focus. The Residence Director (RD) is responsible for creating safe, inclusive, and dynamic communities that empower students' wholistic development. Supervised directly by an Assistant Director, this entry level professional opportunity is a live-in, 12-month position that creates and directs positive communities and effective administration of a "block" of on-campus residence halls as a part of the 3,000 on-campus residents.

Minimum Qualifications:

--- Bachelor's degree
--- Demonstrated passion and commitment to college student development
--- Ability to relate well and be a mentor to a diverse population of college students
--- Experience in facilitating and supervising the planning and coordinating of creative events and approaches to community development
--- Demonstrated skill in individual and team development
--- Ability to utilize sound judgement and critical thinking in a wide variety of scenarios
--- Understanding and support of the Jesuit, Catholic, humanistic mission in the context of a liberal arts university
--- Demonstrated commitment to social justice and inclusion
--- Excellent interpersonal skills
--- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
--- Proficient execution of competing administrative responsibilities
