organization. The Finance Director will be a strategic
thought-partner with senior leadership and play a critical role in
decision making and operations as Partners continues to provide
holistic supportive family services to families across the Inland
Northwest. Job Summary:This position has primary responsibility for
effectively managing all financial tasks for the organization.
Duties may include: financial accounting and reporting,
administration of payroll functions, budget development and
management, risk management, responsibility for financial policies
and procedures, and some human resources management related to
finance. This is a single person department and Partners currently
uses QuickBooks.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities : To
perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to
satisfactorily perform each of the essential
duties/responsibilities listed below. Reasonable accommodations may

essential duties/responsibilities of this job.1. Develop, maintain
and utilize accounting systems for all financial accounting and
reporting functions, including: cash management, accounts payable,
accounts receivable, purchasing, credit control, payroll, petty
cash and others as needed.* Develop, implement, and ensure
compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and
procedures (in accordance with GAAP); interpret and apply laws,
rules, regulations, fiscal policies and procedures to the functions
of the position* Perform the bookkeeping functions including
maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts
receivable and payroll* Prepare monthly billing invoices* Document
and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all
financial transactions* Reconcile bank and investment accounts*
Manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts if requested*
Prepare, analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and
timely manner that are appropriate for the users and in accordance
with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP);* Ensure that
all statutory requirements of the organization are met* Manage the
acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets are properly
recorded, amortized, and disposed of as appropriate* Coordinate and
lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors*
Prepare and submit annual Form 990* In cooperation with the CEO,
prepare and clearly communicate monthly and annual financial
reports for distribution to the Board of Directors. Assist the CEO
and the Board Treasurer with financial reporting as required at
Board meetings and the Annual Board Retreat* Liaise with the
Treasurer and Finance Committee as appropriate2. Lead the annual
planning and budgeting process in cooperation with the CEO.*
Establish guidelines for budget and forecast preparation, and
prepare the annual budget in consultation with the CEO and
Treasurer and/or Finance Committee* Monitor and report on progress
and changes; keep leadership team abreast of the organization's
financial status* Prepare and track budgets for funding
applications, grants and contracts3. Administer all project/program
and grants accounting.* Implement a robust contracts management and
reporting system; ensure that the contract billing and collection
schedule is adhered to prepared in accordance with contract
agreements with funders* Maintain financial records for each
project in a manner that facilitates management reports* Provide
accurate and timely reporting on the financial activity of
individual projects* Liaise with Development Director to assist
with grant budgeting, reconciliation of donor income, and reporting
on restricted funding4. Develop and support human resources
administration, including compensation policies, payroll and
benefits in cooperation with the CEO.* Oversee all payroll
functions (currently using outside payroll company) to ensure that
employees are paid in a timely and accurate manner* Assist Office
Manager to research, negotiate and manage the employee insurance
and benefits plans* Research, negotiate and manage the employee
insurance and benefits plans* Process and submit statutory and
benefits remittances on time* Prepare and submit W-2's and 1099's,
all quarterly and annual tax/payroll documents5. Monitor risk
management policies and procedures to ensure that program and
organizational risks are minimized. This task is done in
conjunction with CEO and Office Manager.* Responsible for risk
management policies and procedures* Advise the organization's
leadership on appropriate insurance coverage for the organization
and the Board of Directors* Coordinate certificates of insurance
and insurance renewals* Maximize income where possible and
appropriate* Negotiate with bank for lines of credit or other
financial services as required and appropriate6. Responsible to
create and revise fiscal policies and procedures as necessary.7.

knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform this
job.REQUIRED:Education/Experience:* Minimum of Bachelor's degree,
ideally with MBA/CPA or related degree* Six-plus years of broad
financial and operations management experience* Experience using
QuickBooks* Excellent communication and relationship building
skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a
variety of internal and external stakeholders* Must be organized,
responsible, reliable, professional, and punctual with a
demonstrated ability to manage time and
deadlinesCertificates/Licenses: WA drivers' license required. Must
be able to travel to meetings and trainings.DESIRED

quality and content of all financial data, reporting and audit

colleagues who do not necessarily have finance backgrounds* A track
record in grants management* Keen analytic, organization and
problem-solving skills which support and enable sound decision
making* A proven track record of working closely with executive
leadership, Board members and key stakeholders* Ability to work
independently or collaboratively to maximize output and
