This position is responsible for establishing Quality Assurance and
Control, while enforcing compliance to process, product and systems
specifications and policies that define the Quality Management
system for the Spokane facility. This position defines and ensures
effective implementation of Quality Management the ISO-9000:2015
system. The ideal candidate is well-versed in all elements of
Quality values and controls established in industry such as:
Problem Solving, Lean Manufacturing and a varied quality concepts
in industries such as semiconductors, metal fabrication, metal
refining, automotive, and/or aerospace. The candidate must make
data-based decisions using industry experience.
Key Responsibilities
- The Site Quality Assurance and Control Manager will be
responsible for the overall Quality for the sites and to support
these requirements for other HON plants in other regions as
required
- Manages, enforces, improves and expands the Quality Management
Systems internally and externally with key suppliers per an
established plan and schedule
- This position is required to work closely with the HON PMT
Quality Organization, Site Operations, Site Engineering, and all
support teams
- Ensures follow up for the manager's and direct reports standard
work and the use of quality tools and systems "Plan, Do, Check,
Act" to meet established Goals and Objectives
- Monitors, complies, reports, communicates, and escalates
requirements for the internal audit program and work close with key
internal, Customer and Supplier stakeholders. Communicate and
escalate key issues that are out of standard in a timely manner
- Maintains Site Quality Management and Regulatory Certifications,
and increase customer achievements through clear objectives and
follow up
- Takes ownership for plant First Pass Quality, internal process
rejections, SCARs, customer corrective actions via the 8D tool, and
close open customer cases per agreed time schedules
- Leads Site activities with department managers to eliminate
internal and external quality defects
- Improves quality management and data collection systems
- Ensures the plant progresses to use more quality tools such as
SPC, SQC and proactive tools to maintain process control
- Manages continuous improvement via Kaizen Events, Six Sigma
Projects, Quality Improvement Teams and Initiatives, PFMEA, Control
Plans, and Work Instructions
- Leads a group of engineers and technicians assigned to the
Quality Organization
- Focus team energy on tangible value-added activities that extends
the competitive position of the business
- Quickly integrates customer needs and requirements into a
streamlined process flow focusing on value at every step
- Be an organizational leader championing Safety, Quality,
Delivery, and Cost Management
- Actively involved in Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Strategic Plan
(STRAP), Monthly Operating Review (MOR), Sales, Inventory, and
Operations Plan (SIOP), and Management Resource
- Reviewing (MRR) activities for the supply chain function
- Support other tasks and assignments, as appropriate
You must have
- Bachelor's degree in a Science or Engineering field
(Metallurgical, Mechanical, Chemical, and/or Industrial)
- Minimum 5 years of Quality Management Experience with Customer
Interface, Supplier Interface and Internal/External Auditors
We Value
- 5+ years' experience in the metals and casting industry with
processes to include high purity metal and sputtering targets for
semiconductors targets, Casting, Wafer, and/or Chip Manufacturing
preferred
- Demonstrated leadership skills as a team player, driving
value-added results and establishing credibility throughout the
organization and with suppliers and customers required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Global supply chain experience with an International/Global
company preferred
