Job Description:

We are looking for a Community Manager to oversee, organize, love, and care for our amazing coworking space. This job is a little different day to day and requires someone with a friendly, personable demeanor skilled in interpersonal relationships. On a normal day, your job is to keep our members happy and productive while touring prospective members and onboarding new ones. We're looking for someone who is comfortable creating trusting relationships with our members and be a reliable source of information for them. The job requires an attention to detail that, on a normal day, means keeping the space tidy and the coffee brewed. Occasionally, it means changing light bulbs and spackling dents in the drywall.Every now and then, this position will require an uncomfortable chat with a member if they aren't fully in line with our community guidelines. In all: we're looking for someone creative in their ability to solve problems, attract new members, connect our community, utilize social media, and improve the space in general.RequirementsCOMMUNITY MANAGEMENTCreate a friendly environmentSeek out information about the businesses and members within the space - be knowledgeable about our communityResolve issues between members quickly and in a manner that diffuses tensionBe knowledgeable about Fellow's membership contracts and guidelines, as well as federal, state and local laws that manage the work environment.Oversee new member onboarding and member moves out of the spaceEVENTS PLANNING AND EXECUTIONCome up with creative ways for our community to collaborate and get to know each otherPlan semi-consistent small gatherings, appreciation events, educational events, happy hours, themed parties, etc.Manage to the allotted budgetPresent our community professionallyOversee event and tend to general needs, cleanupBUSINESS DEVELOPMENTWith the owners, be responsible for setting and achieving sales objectives, occupancy rates and pricingConduct tours for prospective membersEngage with the local community by attending relevant events they are hostingEnsure that new members will fit with Fellow's culture, dynamics and missionFACILITIES AND SPACE MANAGEMENTManage all space operations to the satisfaction of membersMake sure key assets such as the Wifi network, kitchen, printers/copiers are all in wording orderKeep members aware of facilities issues that may impact them - send out email blasts and newsletters on a regular basisUtilize a variety of spreadsheets and programs that help manage the space and membershipMake recommendations to the owners about new features or perks that will entice membersKeep an open line of communication with building owners, notify them of issues, member complaints, etc.Ensure cleaning is conducted to spec, communicate with cleaners regarding issues or additions to their scheduleConsistently tidy the space, water plants, purchase necessary items and supplies, spruce things up when neededSOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENTConsistently post across various social media platformsCome up with unique ideas that highlight the space, members, events, etc.Maximize the use of social media to boost membershipBenefitsHOURS & SPECIFICSPart Time M-FGenerally 9 AM - 2 PM with flexibilityStarting salary $18/hr or more DOE with growth opportunities and PTO after 6 months
