Carpool opportunities are available.QUALIFICATIONS: B.S. Degree in Physical Education, Recreation, Exercise Science, Physical Education or other related field is required. Required 3 years supervisory experience including budgetary responsibility required. Experience managing, supervising, and providing oversight of recreation programming to include the creation of aquatics, intramural sport programming, and/or fitness services preferred. Minimum of two years professional work with children and families, wellness program administration preferred. Excellent customer service with an ability to establish and maintain supportive working relationships within the team, the public, service groups, and facility users with focus on the needs in the community. Prior experience working in a tribal setting preferred. Background check required. Current First Aid, CPR, AED and Lifeguard Certification required or ability to obtain within the first 6 months of hire. Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include days/evenings/weekend hours as programming requires. ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Hearing: within normal limits with or without use of corrective hearing devices. Vision: adequate to read 12-point type with or without use of corrective lenses. Must be able to verbally interact with staff, clients and public. Manual dexterity of hands/fingers for writing and data entry. Able to lift, push, and pull up to 60 lbs. Sitting up to 25% of the day. Standing/Walking up to 80% of the day.RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains a positive peer relationship and performs as a team player. Plans and prioritizes to maintain a time and attendance record which complies with company policy. Provides excellent internal and external customer service assistance, providing knowledgeable and appropriate information to customers in planning programs and events. Works independently in a very detail oriented manner and meets deadlines. Employee reports to work in a timely manner. Employee utilizes breaks and meal periods to care for personal business outside of the work area. Employee completes work assignments in a timely manner and appropriately exits the work area in a timely manner. Employee appropriately utilizes Time and Attendance for clocking in and out and schedules absences in advance when possible. Employee is available for scheduled work shifts regularly and communicates absence to supervisor in a timely manner if unavailable. Responsible for knowing and training in all job requirements of recreation team members, to include: Specialist, Supervisor, Head Lifeguard, Lifeguard, and Swim Instructor. Consistently promote a positive, professional image of Marimn Health Wellness/Coeur Center at all times, and provide consistent high-quality customer service to all Members. Work with staff to manage and schedule recreational programming, in conjunction with other events and activities. Ability to perform lifeguard duties and train and supervise employees performing lifeguard duties as necessary to ensure effective and safe operations. Consistently demonstrate positive, effective communication skills and interactions with the Wellness Services Director, Wellness Services Operations team, employees, members, volunteers, other agencies and organizations. Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills for multiple aquatic facilities staffing, programming, and operations, Collect, integrate, analyze, and use data to compare and evaluate possible actions or courses of conduct based upon such analysis. Assist as needed in Wellness/Coeur Center special events/activities. Excellent public relation and customer service skills. Professional and timely verbal and written communication. Serving as Manager on Duty while on shift and in the absence of the Wellness Services Director, may serve as acting Director. Ensure smooth facility reservation/usage Responsible for thorough orientation and training of recreation and aquatics staff and volunteers at the Coeur/Wellness Centers. Directly supervise, schedule, and evaluate recreation and aquatic staff, including correcting work deficiencies, issuing corrective actions in compliance with organization guidelines, and recommending disciplinary action to the Wellness Services Director. Build department staffing schedule and review and approve leave requests in adherence with Marimn Health leave policy.Review and submit accurate time sheets for all staff. Assist with developing the recreational components of the annual budget to include facility-specific aquatic components of the budget including but not limited to revenues, labor cost, and other expenses for Health Board consideration and approval. Maintain an inventory of supplies for multiple aquatics facilities assuring all equipment, classes and programming needs are met (equipment, chemicals etc.). Makes recommendations for equipment purchases and repairs while following budget guidelines. Addresses any maintenance concerns immediately, asking for assistance from Facilities if unable to resolve the problem. Establish recreational program with Trauma Informed Care considerations, ensuring staff training and awareness. Develop and oversee processes for member checkout/check in of recreational equipment. Collaborate and communicate with other internal/external departments on the planning and facilitation of recreational programming. Responsible for developing and overseeing the annual recreational calendar, with programming for youth/adults/families. Attends organization staff meetings as required, serve on assigned committees, and prepare reports as requested. Assists with programming, relations and other requests of the Wellness Services Director. Responds in a timely manner to assignments and communicates with the Wellness Services Director when timelines cannot be met. Perform daily walk through of facility to check safety of recreational programming space, ensuring pool and surrounding areas meet health, safety, and cleanliness guidelines, and ensuring workspace is presentable. Work and direct others to work in a safe manner utilizing PPE as recommended and required when monitoring and regulating pool chemistry, performing routine maintenance, Handles and resolves all Member issues or concerns relating to aquatic and recreation programming and services, tracking reports in Compliatric system Review, implement and adhere to pool operations maintenance schedule (i.e. backwashing, chemical balancing, annual cleaning, etc.) in compliance with applicable state, federal or other regulatory agencies. Knowledgeable regarding Marimn P&P and enforces with staff and members to maintain a safe environment. Responsible for the administration and operation of the aquatic and recreation facilities and programs. Knowledge of relevant federal, state and local laws and regulations in management of recreation and aquatics programs. Other duties as assigned.PM22
