If you want to have a positive impact in the lives of others come join us!ADULT OUTPATIENT (AOP)Frontier Behavioral Health's Adult Outpatient mental health services intended to improve and/or reduce symptoms and resolve situational disturbances for clients in the areas of relational, occupational and/or vocational concerns. Treatment is a voluntary collaborative partnership with the client and may include family, or others (at the client's request) who play a direct role in assisting to establish and/or maintain daily life stability. Services are congruent with the age, individualized strengths and cultural framework of clients.Services can be short-term or long-term depending on the needs of the individual and may include:Brief TreatmentIndividual TherapyGroup TherapyCase managementPsychological testingPsychiatric medication managementCrisis managementThe Behavioral Health Specialist provides clinical behavioral health services to clients within their professional scope and collaborates with other care team members assigned to support client's progress toward established goals and objectives. Services include but are not limited to engagement, orientation for new clients, supportive listening, psychoeducation, behavioral health counseling, care management, skill building, crisis assessment, prevention and intervention, resource education, and referral to internal and external resources with individuals of all ages in virtual, office or community-based settings.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes but are not limited to the following:Provide episodic, trauma-informed, person-centered counseling utilizing evidence-based practices within scope of practice.Maintain client records and all other required documentation in a timely and confidential manner in accordance with agency policies and procedures.Conduct risk assessments, develop and implement safety plans, and provide crisis intervention and stabilization services as needed, including facilitating access to inpatient facilities for behavioral health care.Facilitate and co-facilitate client treatment groups.Represent the agency and its services to the community in a positive and professional manner.Participate in required staff meetings, including regular supervision and weekly clinical staff meetings.Participate in any required training, consultation calls, and onsite visits or reviews when required by contract.Accept delegation and follow through with specific expanded assignments and responsibilities within FBH system such as quality improvement teams, task groups, committees, consultations, mentoring or training responsibilities.Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with; clinical, administrative and support staff, community partners, clients, and family/natural supports.Identify and include the client's support network and applicable involved community partners in care coordination.Serve as primary care team member and meet productivity standard in accordance with agency program guidelines.Develop and implement care plans with measurable objectives and obtainable goals, in collaboration with the client, evaluating clients progress and adjusting as needed.Refer clients to master level clinicians, peer support specialists, prescribers, care navigators, or other team members for additional treatment needs as identified on the care plan.Provide care management services to clients including:Assist clients in identifying and accessing resources and collaborate with community resources on behalf of clients.Assist clients in the development of healthy coping mechanisms in individual or group settings.Provide employment and housing assistance as appropriate and necessary.Offer education on client diagnosis.Some positions require travel between work sites or to see clients in the community. Behavioral Health Specialists working in such position must have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance.QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:REQUIRED:Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.Must submit for Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration within 30 days of hire.PREFERRED:One year of experience working with people with a psychiatric impairment.Experience with crisis intervention.#fbhsj
