Interprets physician prescriptions and medication orders. Compounds
and dispenses prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals and
related products for patient care by performing related duties.
Acts as a drug information resource for the general public and
physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Compensation and Benefits for the Pharmacist :
The starting salary for this position is $110,000.00 to $115,000.00

Requirements of the Pharmacist :
Must demonstrate clinical competencies, and leadership ability, and
have knowledge and understanding of WAC.s and other applicable
regulations, as well as experience in strategic business
Minimum 2 years of experience required.
Responsibilities of the Pharmacist :
Reviews prescriptions issued by physicians or others authorized to
prescribe to assure accuracy; determines formulas and ingredients
Compounds medications using standard formulas and processes such as
weighing, measuring and mixing ingredients.
Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications ensuring compliance
with all regulatory agencies.
Monitors all postings onto the patient profiles in the computer
system. Ensures accuracy and that drug allergies, drug
interactions, duplicate therapy, rational drug therapy and
incompatibilities may be realized and better patient care
Directs pharmacy staff engaged in packaging and labeling
Supervises pharmacy staff.
Maintains a professional, helpful and courteous relationship with
all staff of the pharmacy-store.
Answers questions and provides information to physicians, nurses,
patients and other healthcare professionals on the appropriate use
of medications, drug interactions, side effects, dosage, storage,
Advises the general public on over-the-counter medications to treat
Endorses policies and procedures of the retail pharmacy.
Ensures the maintenance and proper operation of equipment and
supplies in the pharmacy.
Maintains PAR levels of medications and supplies for the pharmacy;
places orders as needed.
Maintains established procedures concerning quality control,
security of controlled substances and disposal of hazardous
Provides pharmaceutical care to all ages of patients from newborns
to the elderly. Understands there are dosage variations between
newborn, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients and knows where to

Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that
