Description Providence is calling a Behavioral Health Therapist
Associate (Psych Hospitalist , Day Shift, 0.88 FTE) to Physician
Management Group in Spokane, Washington. We are a community of

who are poor and vulnerable. In this position you will:
- Complete comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, identify chief
complaint, appropriately assign Diagnostic and Statistical Manual
of Mental Disorders (DSM)/ International Classification of (ICD)
diagnosis and determine clinical level of care based on established
criteria
- Develop and implement recommendations and plan of psychotherapy
based on chief complaint and/or diagnosis established
- Develop suicide and homicide risk reduction/mitigation plans
that reduce or eliminate this risk for patients and the
community
- Rapidly establish rapport and alliance
- Recognize barrier(s) to establishing rapport and alliance,
adopt modifications in evaluation and psychotherapy interventions
to effectively overcome the barrier(s)
- Provide effective individual, family and group psychotherapy
interventions relevant to the diagnoses established reducing or
resolving chief complaint and other symptoms as appropriate to the
location of care/point of service
- In approved practice locations of care/point of service
incorporate best practice methodology consistently monitor for and
assess patient risk for suicide and homicide
- Maintain appropriate therapeutic boundaries with patients,
family/support, and others involved in psychotherapy sessions;
including group psychotherapy members
- Effectively recognize dual relationships, seek supervision and
manage them appropriately
- Routinely obtain feedback from patients, family/support, and
group members participating in psychotherapy of their perception of
effectiveness of psychotherapy interventions and progress toward
achieving therapeutic goals as defined in the treatment plan
- Demonstrate effective flexibility in adapting to this feedback
appropriately
- Maintain professional growth and development through seminars,
workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest
trends in field of expertise
- Actively engage in a structured clinical supervision plan to
continually increase competency to obtain licensure
- Effectively establish relationships with other colleagues and
disciplines within the location of care/point of service
- Act as an advocate for patients, family/support and
community
- Establish and communicate effective clinical ability and
credibility in working with internal and external colleagues
- Develop and implement a multi/intra disciplinary treatment plan
and response to assist with treatment plan updates
- Accurately document evaluations, assessments,
recommendation/plan of treatment, psychotherapy service following
all established and compliant requirements
- Accurately select Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code and
complete charging process as appropriate to the location of
care/point of service
- Meet all of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid and state
regulatory requirements
- Follow all organizational policies
- Work to promote and support all elements of a high reliability
organizations Required qualifications for this position includes:
- Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling or Behavioral
Sciences from an approved school -OR- Master's Degree in Social
Work (MSW) in an education program accredited by the council on
social work education and approved by the secretary based upon
nationally recognized standards
- Active Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, Licensed
Marriage and Family Therapist Associate or Licensed Independent
Clinical Social Work Associate or Advanced license issued by the
Washington State Department of Health within ninety (90) days of
hire Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- One (1) year master's level practicum in a behavioral health
setting in an accredited college or university internship About the
