Description Associate Medical Assistant I - ($3,000 Sign-on-Bonus) Orthopedics at Providence Medical Group Southeast Washington The AMA works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned patients. Basic patient care needs will be met though both administrative and clinical duties. An AMA is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. Required qualifications for this position include:

• Required upon hire (WA State Only): active MA-I, MA-R or MA-C in state of WA.
• Required (WA): If in Active Interim Certification Status (MA-I), incumbent must pass one of the following exams within 180 days of hire: AMCA, AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, or NAHP
• Required upon hire: Incumbent must obtain MA-R certification within 60 days of being hired
• Required upon hire: Current BLS - Must be AHA accredited
• Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months) Preferred qualifications for this position include:
  • Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants or alternate training program
  • 6 months prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment
