Psychiatric-Mental Health opening in Walla Walla, Washington. PMHNP Opening in WA Located in Walla Walla, WA - Yakima 130m Full-time/permanent Outpatient (PMHNP or psychiatrist only) primarily outpatient treatment for clients of all ages up to 16 appointments per day (90 min psych evals & 30 min med mgmt) local travel once per week to treat clients in our adult residential treatment facility services provided one half day per week; travel time is 5 mins between sites one of two total providers on site; access to CMO/Medical Director by phone/email/video mandatory participation in call rotation to cover ARTF emergencies (schedule TBD, actual calls rare & currently handled by Yakima staff) site eligible for NHSC & Nurse Corps loan repayment programs REQUIRED: must be certified & willing to see kids ages 9+ and teens REQUIRED: must have DEA-X waiver & willingness to prescribe Suboxone Nurse Practitioner duties may include: completing initial psychiatric evaluations and assessing mental health & physical health status at routine appointments prescribing & monitoring psychotropic medications and educating clients & their support system about the medications purpose, appropriate dosage, and possible side effects collaborating with each client to create an individualized treatment plan educating staff, clients, and other community partners about individual mental health needs following trauma-informed principles in all aspects of client care assessing clients for safety and risk to self or others, and taking appropriate crisis intervention measures when indicated completing all documentation & charting in a timely, client-centered manner participating in on-call and rounding rotations for our inpatient facilities Qualifications: Master's or doctorate degree in nursing or nursing practice with psychiatric mental health specialization One year of prescribing experience preferred, but not required Registered Nurse license and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license in Washington Federal DEA registration First Aid & CPR certification Must have valid driver's license and vehicle liability insurance Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide documentation during the hiring process or be approved for a qualifying medical or religious exemption prior to starting work Excellent Benefits: Competitive salaries within our communities and industry Healthcare coverage for employee and qualified family members Generous vacation, paid holiday and sick leave policies Access to Employee Assistance Program services Agency-funded retirement plan with contributions equal to 5% of compensation Additional retirement investment opportunities with a 50% investment match of up to 4% of compensation Agency-funded life and disability insurance program Site eligibility for student loan repayment programs (conditions apply)
