Job Description

Position Summary
The nature of the direction and supervision required for this position varies by State and job setting. Radiologic technologists (sometimes referred to as CT technicians) specialize in computed tomography and perform scans on various parts of the body.

• Prepare the patient for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and creating a comfortable environment.
  
• Use of proper patient positioning and technical factors to consistently produce quality diagnostic studies.
  
• Correctly operate a CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images of desired patient anatomy.
  
• Administer contrast media as directed by referring physician.
  
• Monitor the patient for any adverse drug events and report accordingly.
  
• Perform routine quality assurance on equipment and identify basic malfunctions.

  Position Requirements
  
  • 
    
  • ARRT License is required
    
  • WA State Imaging licensed
    
  • Radiographer is required & CT Registry preferred
    
  • Minimum of 1+ years as a CT Tech
    
  • BLS for Healthcare Provides is required
    
    Other Responsibilities
    
    • 
      
    • Completes required orientation as directed by facility
      
    • Follows facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignment
      
    • Follows facility and Hamilton Unusual Occurrence Protocol
      
    • Respects cultural and religious practices of patients
      
    • Upholds HIPAA regulations
      
    • Punctual and dependent for assigned/confirmed shifts
