A health services network in Washington is actively seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their facility in Spokane as a Detox Nurse. In this role, the Detox Nurse (RN) will be responsible for the day-to-day nursing services provided to all patients admitted to the facility, including: assisting with intakes, suicide risk assessment, medication management, etc.
About the Opportunity:

• Setting: Substance Abuse Outpatient Facility
• Shifts: Nights
• Hours: Three 12-hour shifts Responsibilities:
  The Detox Nurse (RN) will:
  • Complete nursing intake and assessment; monitor patient's vital signs as ordered or per protocol
  • Maintain medication cart in order and locked at all times; dispense medications as ordered
  • Observe and note reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications
  • Document all patient interactions and interventions in the medical record
  • Complete incident report for any unusual or adverse event including medication errors and medication reactions
  • Monitor food and nutrition orders and ensure patient are served appropriate diet
  • Complete suicide risk assessment on all new admission and as needed during treatment
  • Complete a physical assessment of all patients upon admission or as needed to assess skin integrity, markings, or signs and symptoms of disease or issues
  • Screen for psychoactive substance toxicity, intoxication, & withdrawal symptoms; danger to self or others; and, co-occurring mental health issues
  • Analyze and interpret data to determine treatment recommendations and priorities
  • Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications:
    • 2+ years of Nursing experience in a Behavioral Health, Hospital, and/or Substance Abuse setting
    • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
    • WA Registered Nurse (RN) license Desired Skills:
      • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
