First-time travelers accepted. Floating : Yes, per unit needs to areas within scope, such as Postpartum, Mother-Baby, or NICU. On-Call : Yes, low census (LC) on-call required as needed. Weekend Requirements : Yes, weekends necessary (typically every other weekend, confirm with facility). Block Schedules : Not required; block scheduling not accommodated. Patient Ratios : Per AWHONN Staffing Standards (updated 2022): Labor : 1:1 for active labor, oxytocin administration, or epidural initiation. Triage : 1:2–3 based on acuity. Postpartum : 1:3–4 mother-baby couplets (6–8 patients). NICU : 1:1–3 based on infant acuity (Level II or III NICU). Management of high-risk deliveries (e.g., preeclampsia, preterm labor). Postpartum care, including hemorrhage management and breastfeeding support.
