Job Description:
Description Under the leadership of the Department Manager and
the supervision of the Nurse Manager for Endoscopy and Medical
Procedures, the GI technician will through the utilization of
specialized equipment and under the direction of a qualified
physician perform procedures on patients. This is a highly
technical position assisting the MD and registered nurse during
procedures. Technician is responsible for cleaning, processing and
caring of scopes and other instrumentation. The Endoscopy
Technician assists with the responsibility for patient flow, room
turnover, stocking rooms, ordering supplies, answering phones and
performing a variety of clerical tasks. Providence caregivers are

National Provider BLS - American Heart Association. Preferred
Qualifications: - Coursework/Training: Completion of SGNA GI
Technical Specialist program. or - Coursework/Training: CRCST
(Certified Registered Central Service Technician) course
completion. - GI Tech experience. - Endoscopy/Medical Procedures.
