(CLS) for a travel job in Spokane, Washington. Job Description &

Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days -

Preventionist Location: Spokane, WA Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day –
5×8-hour shifts (08:00–16:30), Monday–Friday; no weekends, no
holidays, no call Job Responsibilities: Serve as an Infection
Prevention Specialist supporting multiple acute care service lines,
including surgery, NICU, cardiac, critical care, and emergency
departments. Conduct infection prevention rounding, provide
education, and advise clinical teams on infection control
guidelines and best practices. Perform surveillance documentation
using Bugsy or similar systems. Analyze infection-related data and
report trends to leadership and interdisciplinary teams. Ensure
adherence to regulatory infection prevention standards across
assigned units. Support infection control initiatives and
collaborate with hospital departments to prevent hospital-acquired
infections. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience: Minimum 3
years of acute care hospital experience (5 years preferred) MUST
have experience across multiple service lines: surgery, NICU,
cardiac, critical care, and ER (hard requirement) Certification:
CIC (Certification in Infection Control) required Licensure:
Acceptable backgrounds include Clinical Lab Scientist, RN,
Microbiologist, or Master’s in Public Health Technical Skills:
Experience with infection surveillance systems (Bugsy or
equivalent) EPIC charting experience required Patient Population:
Ability to support infection prevention across all age groups
(neonates to geriatrics) Preferred Skills Prior experience in a
teaching hospital Strong interdisciplinary communication and
rounding experience Ability to provide expert advisory support on
