Job Description:
Description The Nursing Assistant functions within his/her scope
of practice under the direction and supervision of the Registered
Nurse to assist in providing care and implementing delegated
activities of the nursing plan. S/he demonstrates an understanding
of basic nursing skills and skills unique to the assigned clinical
unit(s). Following orientation, s/he assumes delegated
responsibility which may include (but not be limited to) such tasks
as: meeting the hygienic, nutritional, elimination, activity,
comfort and safety needs of patients; obtains and reports vitals
signs (TPR and BP); performs urine reductions, transports
(transfers, discharges) patients; obtains supplies/equipment as
necessary from designated departments. Individualizes patient care
using age related concepts based on the unit population assigned
for infants (1 month to Age 1) toddlers (1-2 years), preschoolers
(3-5 years) school age (6-12 years), adolescents (ages 13-17) and
adult patients including early adult (ages 18-35) middle adult
(ages 36-65) and older adult (ages 66) by applying age related
conceptsincluding knowledge of growth and development, safety
needs, collection of data, treatments and care typically required.

position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range
for this position will be determined based upon relevant job
experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base
pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role,
such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums,
