Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/25/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Department: OB – Labor & Delivery/nShift: 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM / 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)/nLocation: [Facility Name / City, State]/n/nUnit Overview:/n/nL&D Beds: 2 rooms (1:1 or 1:2 ratio depending on census)/n/nPostpartum Beds: Acute care rooms used if stays >24 hours/n/nOR Suites for C-Sections: C-Sections in OR; PACU recovery/n/nBirth Volume: 50–60 per year/n/nFetal Monitoring: EFM (Fetal Link) – RNs monitor patients on magnesium/n/nPatient Population: Low to moderate risk (Diabetes, GDM, AMA, limited prenatal care)/n/nFloating: Acute Med/Surg if no OB patients/n/nWeekend/Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend; holidays as needed/n/nStaffing & Support:/n/nCharge Nurse: Hospital-wide/n/nNurse Aides/Techs: None for L&D/n/nOB/Neonatologist Coverage: Family Practice OBs in clinic during day; on-call after hours (~20 min response)/n/nAnesthesia: On-call 24/7/n/nRT Equipment: Nasal cannula, non-rebreather, high flow for newborns (no RT in-house)/n/nLicensure & Certifications Required:/n/nACLS, BLS, NRP, EFM (Intermediate required; Advanced preferred)/n/nExperience Requirements:/n/nMust be experienced in neonatal antepartum, L&D, postpartum care/n/nMust be able to work on Acute Med/Surg floor if no OB patients/n/n1 year OB experience acceptable/n/nMedications / Drips:/n/nInsulin, magnesium (titrated per protocol)/n/nOrientation:/n/n1 day on unit/n/nDress Code:/n/nAny clean, professional scrubs About Malone Healthcare - Nursing With a commitment to providing a higher standard of service and experience in patient care, Malone Healthcare places expert nurses and allied health professionals in rewarding careers throughout the United States.
