Description The Mental Health Counselor (MHC) functions under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse to provide direct care for selected patients. S/he is expected to demonstrate a basic understanding of contemporary psychosocial principles in relation to his/her area of responsibility while implementing the delegated tasks of the Multidisciplinary Treatment Plan of Care. Following orientation and defined training programs, satisfactorily performs skills as defined by departmental policy and orientation procedure. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related human services preferred. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
