Locum Tenens: Emergency Medicine Physician Needed (Near Elk, WA) Are you a dedicated and experienced Emergency Medicine physician seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a vibrant community near Elk, WA? We're actively searching for a skilled physician to join our team and provide vital emergency care on a scheduled basis (ASAP - Ongoing). This locum tenens position offers a temporary assignment with defined dates, allowing you to contribute to exceptional patient care while managing your workload effectively. We welcome applications from both Washington state-licensed physicians and those eligible for Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) privileges. Our 10-bed emergency department provides timely care for patients requiring immediate medical attention. Predictable Scheduled Shifts: Enjoy a predictable schedule with defined hours and patient volume (typically 10-20 patients per shift). This allows you to maintain a healthy work-life balance outside of scheduled shifts. Supportive Team Collaboration: Partner with nurses, emergency medical technicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care for your patients. Our facility is stroke-certified, ensuring access to advanced stroke care when needed. Advanced Technology & Resources: Utilize the user-friendly Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system to enhance efficiency in documentation and communication. Streamlined Credentialing Process (for qualified candidates): We understand the importance of timely care and will work diligently to facilitate temporary privileges for qualified applicants with a clean history (estimated timeframe of 48 hours). Qualifications: Board-certified in Emergency Medicine is required. Active medical license in Washington (WA) or eligibility for Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) privileges is mandatory. Current certifications in ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and BLS are essential. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an emergency medicine setting is preferred. The ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating sound judgment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
