player mentality. Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care
appropriate to the age of the patients served. Description: A
Physical Therapist plans and executes rehabilitation programs to
help patients return to a higher level of physical function after
an accident or surgery. They often help to manage or lessen the
pain experienced by patients with degenerative conditions or
terminal diseases. Physical Therapists assist patients through a
combination of physical activity, reflexology, massage, and
muscular and skeletal manipulation. Collaboration with other
therapy providers is essential to achieve optimal outcomes for
patients. The role involves consulting with patients to learn about
their physical condition and reviewing their medical history.
Diagnosing movement dysfunction by listening to patients and
observing them is a critical responsibility. Developing
individualized treatment plans based on patient needs is
fundamental to the position. Coaching patients and teaching them
therapeutic exercises and stretches is a key task. Hands-on
therapy, like massage, is used to ease patients' pain and promote
healing. Maintaining detailed records related to patient
conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress is necessary.
Reporting progress and current status to appropriate parties,
including family members and care team members, is crucial.
Confidentiality in matters relating to patient and family
interactions must be maintained. Interacting with patients and
families from various backgrounds is essential. Providing
information to patients and families helps reduce anxiety and
conveys acceptance and sensitivity. Professional relationships with
other healthcare team members must be upheld. Communication
regarding clinical priorities is necessary for patient care.
Initiating communication regarding security concerns related to
healthcare workers is important. Accepting assignments based on
priorities and competencies is part of the teamwork approach.
Working closely with other care providers to deliver clinical
assistance as needed is fundamental. Timely reporting on patient
conditions to relevant staff, including physicians and nurses, is
essential. Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills foster
