POSITION SUMMARY:World Relief is a unique and invigorating place

journey with us.This new Volunteer Coordinator role is being
created to enhance the office's capacity to recruit, vet, train,
support and effectively match volunteers with newcomers, especially
the Afghan community who arrived through Operation Allies Welcome.
The Volunteer Coordinator (VC) will work within the case management
team to provide training and support directly to volunteers,
empowering them with best practices in volunteer services. The VC
will also be part of the larger VC team to support a healthy
volunteerism process from beginning to end.Compensation:$18 - $20
DOEESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:All functions related to volunteers include
interns by definitionRecruiting, training, and supervising new
volunteersCollecting volunteer information, availability, and
skills, and maintaining an up-to-date databaseTrack all volunteer
applications, interviews, background checks and on-boarding
paperwork and orientationUsing marketing tools such as outreach
programs, e-mails, and volunteer databasesKeeping new and existing
volunteers informed about the organization and volunteer
opportunitiesMatching volunteers to opportunities that suit their
skill sets, and ensuring they understand their responsibilities and
receive the proper trainingOrganizing training and leading
on-the-job trainingRegular collaboration with all volunteer support
staff and program staff regarding volunteer needs and
program-related trainingMaintaining familiarity of integration
support networks and systems in the office and in the community as
well as best practices in empowering newcomers and the volunteers
they are matched withKeeping schedules and records of volunteers'
workEnsuring the organization's mission and purpose is conveyed to
the publicSupporting the rest of the CCE (Church and Community
Engagement) Team on fundraising initiativesOther duties as
