Job Description:
Starting wage is $25.00 per hour($1,500 Hiring Bonus for
Issaquah)Direct Support Professionals are responsible for providing
support to program participants that meets their needs, provides
opportunities for community inclusion and creates a nurturing, safe
and healthful living environment. Direct Support Professionals will
frequently interact with program participants and so must be
familiar with the Residential Service Guidelines issued by the
Developmental Disabilities Administration.This particular position
is for a lone client with who is particularly challenging and
requires additional attention and training. Because of this, the
DDA has given us additional funding that will allow us to pay the
staff members who serve this client an additional $4.00 per hour.
So the starting wage begins at $25.00 per hour.The following shifts
are still available:Tuesday:: 2pm 10pmThursday: 2pm 10pm (two
shifts available)Thursday: 10pm 6am (two shifts available)Friday:
6am 2pmFriday: 2pm 10pm (two shifts available)Saturday: 6am 2pm

available)Sunday: 10pm 6amWho We Are Looking For:Someone who will
maintain Right Response Certification, including both elements and
advanced curriculum.Someone who will provide positive behavior
supports to clients under extreme conditions, such as prolonged
loud noise and physical aggression, and provide necessary
interventions to prevent significant client injury due to
self-harm.Is at least 18 years of ageHas a High School Diploma or
GEDHas at least six months experience working in social services or
relevant fieldHas a Washington State Driver's license able to be
covered on Alpha Supported LivingServices' automobile insurance
plan based upon driving recordCompletes a successful background
inquiry clearance from an authorized state agencyWhat Your Day Will
Look Like:Work in a single-person household alongside one or more
additional staffFrequently interact with program participantsAct in
accordance with the principles and values expressed in the
Residential Guidelines and uphold the agency mission "to serve
individuals with developmental disabilities by providing accessible
residential and other support services that will maximize each
person's quality of life."Work as directed by the shift assigned by
the Program Supervisor or the Site SupervisorTraining Required:This
position required additional/specialized training which includes:To
be completed within 90 days of hire (in addition to 75-hour DSP
curriculum):Right Response Day 1 & 2At least one class to be
completed within 180 days of hire from following class options (or
an internal or external comparable training deemed appropriate by
