Opportunity employer (EEO) .POSITION PURPOSEThe Trust Accounting
Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the off-campus rental
program and various accounting responsibilities within the trust
office, including processing gifts, college investments
transactions, and processing of trust payables. PRINCIPAL
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Records and manages the leases for the off-campus rental
program including: collection and refunding of deposits; charging
rent; coordinating property check ins; property inspections; and
coordinating workflow with rental property maintenance
technician.
- Schedules and oversees the student lease application
process.
- Answers student/faculty/staff tenant questions and
concerns.
- Prepares journal entries to record purchases, sales and market
value adjustment for investments.
- Prepares quarterly endowment investment performance
distribution to the endowment units.
- Processes payments for the Trust and Endowment area including
College farm and rental property.
- Prepares a variety of reports and analysis as requested by the
associate controller.
- Updates purchases and sales of security information for
external reporting service, reconciling to internal balances
monthly.
- Completes monthly reconciliation of various accounts of the
college, including but not limited to investments, student acounts
receivable, gift activities and bank accounts.
- Is cross-trained to support the student accounts area.
- Supervises student office assistants.
- Completes other related duties as assigned. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE,

- Establish and maintain an effective collegial working
relationship with college constituencies, vendors and other

- Establish and maintain exemplary customer service and fiscal
accountability as it relates to all functions within the
department.
- Maintain knowledge of regulations pertaining to rental
properties such as the Landlord-Tenant Act.
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of procedures with attention to
detail and processing cycles.
- Perform office procedures necessary to the position with a high
level of accuracy and reasonable efficiency.
- Ability to effectively prioritize workflow and effectively
manage interruptions.
- Ability to integrate the College's core values of diversity,
equity and inclusion into interactions, processes and decision
making.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of software applications,
spreadsheets and word processing.
- Ability to understand complex processes.MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONSAssociate's degree in accounting or two year's
accounting experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in
