JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARYIn addition to fulfilling the role of Branch Manager for a hub branch, responsible for the overall profitability and efficient operation of a designated group of branches (district). Assists with the development of annual deposit, savings and customer retention goals for the district. Establish and implement an annual district branch sales and marketing plan to achieve targeted goals. Responsible for ensuring all branches within district are staffed adequately and with quality employees. Ensure that district staff are trained and focused on sales and service. Hold Branch Managers accountable for sales routines, profit goals and operational compliance and efficiencies.

JOB DETAILS

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Assist in planning the annual district budget and revenue projections and submit to Retail Banking Director for approval. Operate within this budget during the year, communicating goals to Branch Managers within the district.

* Working in partnership with Retail Banking Director, develop a district marketing plan with a sales execution strategy.

1. Implement tactical plans that focus our relationship selling effort to manage our most profitable customers in the district.

2. Identify opportunities to deepen our relationship with customers that have a minimal relationship but offer upside potential and aggressively sell to this customer base.

3. Identify clients who are not profitable and aggressively manage the relationship to be a more profitable one.

* Provide sales leadership to Branches within the district.

a. Communicates regularly with Branch Managers about the banks strategic vision including customer advocacy. Promote ways to pleasantly surprise customers differentiating the bank from competitors.

b. Manage and monitor the financial performance of the district to ensure a profitable portfolio for the assigned area.

c. Manage the sales performance of each Branch Manager and take measures to improve and support as necessary. This includes observation on sales calls, coaching and recognition.

d. Model sales process and techniques as well as customer advocacy.

e. Establish quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily sales goals for Branch Managers. Schedule and lead district sales meetings.

f. Ensure district staff are trained in sales and service techniques. Model sales process skills and techniques.

g. Demonstrates the highest levels of professionalism, efficiency and customer advocacy throughout the district resolving the customer issues that cannot be resolved by a branch or where another level of authority is required for spectacular recovery.

* Provide business development leadership for the district.

a. Develop centers of influence in the market that can be leveraged into profitable relationships for the Company.

b. Understand local area trends and issues that affect the Bank and recommend solutions or take action that will respond to those opportunities.

c. Actively look for profitable cross-sell opportunities across business lines.

d. Work closely with Lending Managers to coordinate joint marketing plans and cross-selling efforts and to ensure all employees maintain effective communication and partnership in serving customers.

e. Handle external contacts with employees of other financial institutions, customers, governmental agencies, and other organizations to promote customer service, public relations, and civic activities.

* In partnership with Retail Banking Manager, provide people leadership for Branch Managers within district.

a. Recruit and develop staff to ensure proper staffing levels to meet sales goals.

b. Ensure accurate and complete performance management reviews and individual development plans are completed on a consistent and timely basis.

c. Complete an annual staffing plan identifying bench strengths and weaknesses and solutions required to improve or support the needs of the district.

d. Create a desirable and rewarding environment where teamwork is celebrated and individuals and teams are recognized for superior performance on a regular basis.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Undergraduate degree in business related field or equivalent experience.

* Minimum seven years in a bank branch system responsible for some combination of business development, managing a branch, sales and service coaching, opening new accounts, and regulatory compliance.

* Demonstrated skill in business development for bank deposit products and services. Ability to identify client needs, present banking solutions and bank products. Recognize closing opportunities and retain and grow customer relationships. Ability to train/coach others in these business development and sales skills. Ability to develop and motivate teams of people to achieve high levels of sales performance.

* Strong customer relations skills and ability to work with employees and customers in a cooperative manner.

* Demonstrated management and coaching skills for leading other managers and staff.

* Demonstrated skills with strategic planning, creating budgets, developing marketing plans, and goal setting. Proven experience in the implementation/tactics of the above.

* Strong financial acumen.

* Excellent verbal, listening and communication skills.

* Working understanding of HomeStreet s financial products and services.

* Ability to use personal computer for organizational advantage and communication.

* Continued knowledge of banking industry best practices and technology.

* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to resolve conflict situations.

* Ability to make decisions, research and solve problems, work independently, and manage multiple tasks.

* Ability and desire to represent HomeStreet in the community.

* Desire and ability to work as part of a team, and with people of diverse backgrounds.

* Ability to accept and facilitate change, caused by customer demand, corporate needs, or regulatory requirements.

* Valid driver's license, vehicle, and liability insurance.
